Bayfield Primary School is committed to inclusive academic and social/emotional instruction, and to ensuring that all students learn and grow to reach their full potential.  I am working to integrate MTSS systems that ensure students’ growth and work with teachers to find the best path for students. 

MTSS  is a multi-tier approach to the early identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs. Struggling learners are provided with interventions at increasing levels of intensity to accelerate their rate of learning. The MTSS structure supports the problem-solving process when making decisions in both general education and special education, creating a well-integrated system of instruction and intervention guided by child outcome data.

BPS believes all students have the right to a safe, inclusive and supportive educational environment. Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, and Safety are our school-wide values. Relationship and community building are seen as essential to learning and growth. We address challenging behavior and harm by focusing on strengthening and mending relationships. The steps for strengthening and mending follow consequences that fit the infraction.
