Principal's Message

Dear Bayfield Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! As your incoming principal, I am deeply honored to step into this role. While I am new to leading in our school district, Bayfield has been my home for the past 13 years. I know firsthand how special this tight-knit community is—our strong sense of tradition, neighborly support, and local Wolverine pride are second to none, and I couldn't be more excited to serve the families and neighbors I care so much about. 

This year, our guiding focus is "Blazing Trails Together: Connect. Explore. Succeed."

To me, this theme speaks directly to who we are as a community. Blazing a trail isn’t something we do in isolation—it takes a team, a shared vision, and a whole lot of heart. Here is how we’ll bring that theme to life together this year:

• CONNECT: Strong relationships are the foundation of everything we do. We are committed to building authentic partnerships between our staff, our students, and you—our families. When school and home work together, our kids thrive.
• EXPLORE: Learning is an adventure. We want our students to be curious thinkers, brave problem-solvers, and eager discoverers—both inside the classroom and out in our incredible local environment.
• SUCCEED: Success looks different for every child, but high expectations remain constant. Whether mastering a tough concept, growing as a good friend, or discovering a new passion, we are here to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

My door is always open, and I am eager to hear your stories, your hopes for your children, and your vision for our school. I look forward to meeting many of you in person, sharing a high-five, and kicking off this adventure together.
