Counseling & Behavior Support

Hello from our School Counselor and Dean of Students!

We want to share with you a little about who we are and what we do! Savannah Baird is our new Dean of Students. She has been in education for 14 years and has been a part of the Bayfield community her whole life. Savannah loves ranching, paddle boarding, camping, snowshoeing, and reading a good book. This year Savannah will be working with children to build positive behavior and ensuring students get what they need academically by working together with students, teachers, and family members. She has continued working on revising and creating student expectation slide shows so students know what it looks like to be a  BPS Wolverine.

Our School Counselor here at BPS is Tori Telep. This is her second year at BPS, and her 9th year as a K-2 School Counselor. She has worked as a classroom teacher, parent educator, child therapist, and mental health program coordinator. But being a school counselor has been her favorite job ever! School Counselors help all students achieve academically by teaching learning skills, emotional management, and problem-solving skills. We also provide short-term individual and group counseling so those students can get the extra boost they need to do well in school. Tori has lived in Bayfield with her husband for 23 years. When Ms. Tori is not at school she loves hiking in the mountains, traveling to beaches on both coasts, and reading good books.
